“Big day for Mackenzie Foy . Hair, make-up, photos and then interview, since 8 am, she is the task. Not enough to frighten the beautiful, who is used to it. At 16, Mackenzie has been working since she was 3. Her first shoot was for Ralph Lauren . The class already. She only recalls a few snippets. ” I was really young ,” she says. But he remembers that the craft pleased him right away. This impression that ” you could do anything, become anyone ” … One click. Then she goes on and plunges into the world of the pub, then the cinema. Today, she shares the stage with Morgan Freeman , Keira Knightley and ballerina Misty Copeland for the adaptation of The Nutcracker by Disney . Mackenzie plays Clara , the little girl entrusted with the supervision of a nutcracker in the shape of a soldier. This one comes alive, confronts an evil mouse with heads and takes Clara in a world of animated dolls and characters in gingerbread. Love, magic and the spirit of Christmas . If Disney has a taste of consecration, Mackenzie is known in films with big budget and casting of stars. Before giving a reply to Morgan Freeman , she embodied in Interstellar Murphy Cooper , daughter of Joseph Cooper , courageous astronaut incarnated by Matthew McConaughey on an intergalactic journey to save mankind. She was also in Twilight , Chapters 4 and 5. And then TV shows like Hawaii 5-0 , indie films like Wish You Well …

In 2015, she lent her voice to the little girl from the animated film césarisé The Little Prince , a little girl who is prepared to be the perfect adult when she discovers the Little Prince’s curious and poetic adventure thanks to her aviator neighbor . And did she ever wish to have a childhood more simple and idle? ” I’m happy with everything I ‘ve done, ” she says, ” I think I had a normal childhood, I only traveled more than others. ”

Mackenzie is not the type to confess. His mother, present on the shooting, had warned us. The loves ? No time. Friends ? They are there, no mannequins or actresses, and apparently not really impressed to see their girlfriend shoot in Twilight with teen idol Kristen Stewart . ” They just say bravo and ‘Come on, we go out,’ ” says Mackenzie . We will not know much more. A restraint and a discipline that the girl may be due to her martial arts practice. When she is not on the shoot, she trains rigorously at taekwondo, seven nights a week. ” I like taking care of her body and head, ” she said. In 2014, to prove her talents, she made a wrench to Jimmy Fallon on the set of the Tonight Show . ” I think I hurt him a bit, ” she laughs. Concentrated, Mackenzie continues his way. Its new objective: realization. On the shootings, she asks for some advice: ” I see above all how they manage to draw my emotions, ” she said. The best advice: ” Bill Condon, the director of Twilight, told me that there was no need to cry to be sad, no need to scream to be angry. ” In five years, Mackenzie will be 21 . Where does she imagine herself? Shooting a movie, surely. Behind the camera maybe. Or ” with his cats, reading a book “. The day was a long one. ”

Happy February! While in London, Mackenzie did a shoot for L’Officiel Paris in collaboration with Emilio Pucci.

A few photos from the shoot along with a short video have popped up and wow, the photos are stunning. I’ve added all three photos plus screencaps from the video to the gallery. Check everything out below!

There is a time in every woman’s life in which self-awareness takes body and soul, while the living aspirations and happiness appear on the horizon, to chase and catch up on Chris- nal of an intense decade. For girls portrayed in these pages it all happened earlier, and with a frenzy that will remember or which already look incredulous, without even ask what dowry he has pushed the destinies: Beauty prevent arterial but out of the norm, classical talent, skills to Millennials, determination, or maybe just luck? To MacKenzie Foy is a typical path of the child stars of the film Hollywood hate: spotted by a talent scout, he starts as a baby model going from commercials to TV series. The fame came with the film of the last decade phenomenon “Twilight,” where is the demi-vampire daughter of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, and consolidates this season with the blockbuster “Interstellar”. But she has nothing of the starlet teenager: his eyes devoid of malice, to 16 years has a beauty already full but still comparatively robust, and a bon ton style in his daily life as a student, as well as on the red carpets of film festivals, the gue distinction from peers.

Today an animated adaption of The Little Prince premieres on Netflix, featuring one very talented 15-year-old as its lead voice actor. Meet Mackenzie Foy, who you may recognize as Bella Swan and Edward Cullen’s young daughter in Twilight: Breaking Dawn. Having grown up dancing, Mackenzie turned to tae kwon do and found the sport equally satisfying for helping her develop incredible power, strength, and diligence. Oh, and did we mention she has a black belt, too? When she wasn’t showing us her high kicks and her nunchaku skills on set, Mackenzie chatted about what she learned while voicing her character in The Little Prince, The Little Girl.

“I used to be a dancer, but my studio closed, so I wanted to find something active that would be fun to do with my brother. In tae kwon do, we learn to be respectful to everyone. Respect is definitely something that I already had before going into tae kwon do, but it enhanced. And being able to do things under pressure is really important.”
“When I do tae kwon do, I feel happy. It’s a very safe place for me. I love being physically fit and being able to do kicks and real push-ups. If I ever was in danger, I could fight. I could protect myself or someone else. It actually took me six years to get my black belt. It taught me that getting what you want takes a lot of hard work and time.”
“I filmed The Little Prince for about four years on and off. It was really fun, and I have great memories. A lot happened in those four years: I mean, I aged significantly, I worked, the film changed. To get connected to the story, I read the original book and studied the personalities of The Little Prince and The Aviator so that way I could incorporate them into the role of The Little Girl because she is not a character out of the original series.”
“The Little Girl taught me to be hardworking and do what you need to do, but also have fun. You can be silly at times too. My character dealt with a lot of pressure at a young age. I can relate to that. We all deal with that. When I’m in a situation where I am under a lot of pressure, I usually just take a deep breath so I don’t get anxious. And my mantra when I practice tae kwon do? Don’t fall down.” — as told to Maddie Sensible
